Unlike mass-produced goods, every piece in the Japanese-Swords.co.uk collection is handcrafted to order by our partner artisan workshops. This means that from the moment you place your order, skilled hands are at work. Forging, finishing, and preparing your order with the attention it deserves.

Preparation time reflects the complexity of the piece and the workmanship involved. A more intricate order demands more time, and we will never compromise on that.
Delivery Timeframes
Once dispatched, your order will typically arrive within 7 to 21 business days, depending on your location and the carrier service available in your region.
Please allow between 8 and 36 business days for delivery, in accordance with international shipping timelines.
Estimated delivery timeframes are confirmed at checkout and communicated again by email upon dispatch. All timeframes are indicative and provided in good faith. International shipping, by its very nature, involves variables beyond any single party’s control.
Delivery Address & Responsibility
All orders are shipped to the address entered at checkout. Please ensure your delivery details are accurate before completing your purchase. Japanese-Swords.co.uk cannot be held liable for failed or misdirected deliveries resulting from an incorrect address provided by the customer. Should a redirection become necessary, additional shipping charges may apply.
Upon delivery of your order to the address provided, ownership of and responsibility for the goods passes to you. From this point, any risks associated with the item become the customer’s responsibility.
Special delivery instructions: Should you choose to have your order left unattended (at your doorstep, with a neighbour, or at a designated safe location) please be aware that Japanese-Swords.co.uk accepts no liability for any loss, theft, or damage occurring after the item has been left at the specified location.
Inspecting Your Order Upon Receipt
We ask that you take a moment to carefully inspect both the outer packaging and the contents of your order at the time of delivery. Given the value and fragility of the pieces we ship, this step is important.
If you notice any of the following, please act immediately:
- Visible damage to the packaging or the item itself
- Missing or incorrect items in your order
In such cases, please report the issue to the carrier at the time of delivery, and contact our customer experience team within 14 days of receipt at [email protected], including your order number and a description (accompanied by photographs) of the issue observed.
We strongly recommend photographing the packaging before opening it, as this considerably strengthens any claim made with the carrier.
Please note: In the absence of any claim within the 14-day window, the delivery will be considered complete and the item deemed free of defects and correct in quantity.
Handling Delays
Should your order not arrive within the anticipated timeframe, please do not hesitate to contact our customer experience team at [email protected]. We will investigate the matter with our carrier partner promptly and keep you informed at every stage.
If the delay is not attributable to circumstances beyond our control (including force majeure events such as natural disasters, strikes, or extreme weather) and we are unable to deliver within a reasonable extension period, you retain the right to cancel your order. Upon cancellation under these circumstances, a refund will be issued within 14 days.

In the interest of full transparency, all orders placed on japanese-swords.co.uk are processed and dispatched directly from our partner artisan workshops located in Asia. Depending on your country of destination, your shipment may transit through one or more international logistics hubs (including South Korea, Malaysia, or other countries) before reaching you.
Whilst we work exclusively with trusted carrier partners to ensure the integrity and timeliness of every delivery, please be aware that these international journeys may be subject to additional delays and customs inspections beyond our control.
