At the heart of this Fūjin katana lies a tsuba of uncommon ambition: a mokko-gata (four-lobed quince blossom) form, covered in dense chrysanthemum relief carving executed in takabori high-relief technique with gold and silver plating accents throughout. The fuchi and kashira form a fully matched set in the same dark metal language, their surfaces engraved with gold and silver floral motifs that echo the tsuba without repeating it. Silver-plated menuki are seated beneath the wrap at traditional positions, completing a fitting suite that speaks with a single, unified voice. A smooth brass habaki anchors the blade to the koshirae with warm precision at the hamachi junction.

Deep Indigo and Black Lacquer

The tsuka is wrapped in a tight hineri-maki diamond pattern in deep navy blue over a genuine white stingray skin samegawa, whose cream-colored nodes emerge through every window of the wrap with striking contrast.
