Meiyo Golden Katana Sword: a Blade of Pure Honor

Its name says everything. Meiyo (名誉) means honor in Japanese, and every detail of this golden katana sword was conceived to embody that word in steel, lacquer, and gilded brass. From the first glance, the blade commands silence: a sweeping shinogi-zukuri geometry darkened along the ji and shinogi-ji, then interrupted by a luminous hamon that burns along the cutting edge like a living line of fire. This is not a sword that asks for attention. It demands it.

T10 Steel: Forged with Tradition

Beneath the dramatic finish lies a blade forged using traditional swordsmith methods in T10 high-carbon steel, one of the most prized steels in modern katana production for its exceptional hardness, edge retention, and structural resilience. The hamon, a choji pattern achieved through genuine differential clay tempering, is a real thermodynamic event, traced in steel, with visible nie crystals forming a granular luminous boundary along the habuchi. This golden sword is built for those who take their blades seriously.

Traditional Craftsmanship, Uncompromising Quality

A katana is more than a sword, it’s a symbol of precision, discipline, and Japanese heritage. Our katanas are crafted with respect for traditional sword-making standards, offering you a reliable, durable, and beautifully finished blade. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced collector, you’ll find the perfect katana for your needs.

Katana

Two Tones: One Identity

The blade of the Meiyo golden katana carries one of the most visually striking finishes in contemporary katana craftsmanship. The chu-kissaki is hand-finished to a crisp, well-defined yokote line. The full cross-section no-hi geometry, preserves the blade’s structural mass and rigidity across its 72 cm of cutting length. This two-tone contrast between blackened steel and luminous temper line is not decorative compromise. It is a statement of honor made visible.

Gold, Black and Burning Orange

The koshirae of the Meiyo golden katana sword is built around a single, unified design language: gold against darkness, warmth against shadow. The tsuba takes the form of a Templar cross, fully covered in gold and silver plating, a motif of power and conviction that anchors the entire mounting. The gilded and engraved fuchi and kashira form a matched set of refined elegance, flanking a tsuka wrapped in genuine white ray skin beneath a solid black ito braid, punctuated by imposing gold- and silver-plated floral menuki. Above all, the orange wooden saya commands the eye: its vivid lacquer ground is adorned with gilded engravings at the kojiri and koiguchi, half-draped in a thick white, black, and purple cavalry sageo secured by two gilded clasps. Every component reinforces the same truth: this sword was made to be worthy of its name.
