The Shirokage sword is built on a full-tang T10 steel blade, forged using traditional swordsmith methods and finished to a polish that reflects with cold clarity. The geometry follows the classical shinogi-zukuri form: a raised shinogi ridge dividing the ji from the shinogi-ji, a moderate tori-zori curvature, and a chū-kissaki with a crisp, cleanly defined yokote line that signals precision at every stage of production. The polished surface runs uninterrupted from habaki to kissaki, its even finish allowing the geometry of the blade itself to command attention without ornament or embellishment.

Every component of the Shirokage katana serves the same visual logic: black against white, shadow against light. The round iron tsuba features ji-sukashi openwork, its negative space carved into floral motifs, sophisticated metalwork that filters light with quiet elegance. An engraved copper habaki anchors the blade at the throat of the scabbard, its warm tone providing a precise tonal counterpoint between iron tsuba and lacquered saya. The tsuka pairs faux white stingray skin with a tight black diamond-pattern hineri-maki wrap, executed with even tension throughout, and finished with carved black dragon menuki pressed beneath the ito at each face of the handle.

The White Lacquer, the Final Statement

The White Shadow reaches its fullest expression in the saya: a wooden scabbard lacquered to a stark, high-gloss white finish, unadorned and uncompromising, with black accents at the koiguchi and kojiri that close the composition with the same binary precision the name demands. A traditional black sageo completes the mounting. With a 71 cm blade, a 26.5 cm handle, and a total assembled length of 103 cm at 1.25 kg, this katana carries the balance of a blade designed to be held as confidently as it is displayed.
