Every fitting on the Tsukihana sword speaks the same decorative language: dragon, gold and shadow. The lotus-form tsuba, cast in gold and black copper, bears a finely engraved dragon descending through water, its scales rendered with the precision of a craftsman who understood that beauty lives in detail. The fuchi wraps a coiled dragon around the base of the handle. The kashira is carved into the shape of a dragon’s head. Beneath the tight black diamond-pattern tsuka-ito, genuine stingray skin covers a hardwood core, while silver-plated dragon menuki sit positioned under the wrap with classical accuracy. The hammered brass habaki, engraved with fine linework, seals the blade to the koshirae with the quiet authority this blade deserves.
