The bo-hi fuller, cleanly cut and well-finished, reduces blade weight perceptibly and produces the characteristic tachikaze sound that marks every committed cut with an unmistakable signature.

The tsuka is wrapped in genuine red stingray skin beneath a precisely executed black diamond tsuka-ito, the aka-same glowing through each opening of the braid like embers caught under shadow. The rounded brass tsuba carries a finely engraved samurai in raised relief, its dark patination amplifying the drama of the design. The fuchi bears a majestic lion motif, while the kashira takes the full sculptural form of a lion’s head in brass, completing a matched set that tells a single mythological story across every fitting.

A Koshirae Built to Endure

The Shishi Aka katana is completed by a black and red lacquered wooden saya, its high-gloss finish mirroring the crimson of the samegawa beneath your hands and locking the entire koshirae into one unified, intentional presentation.
