The mokko-gata tsuba in copper alloy rises in four symmetrical lobes edged with gold, its hammered black face bearing the mitsu tomoe, the triple comma swirl that has represented the balance of cosmic forces across centuries of Japanese clan tradition. The fuchi and kashira mirror that hammered black finish exactly, while three black and gold menuki repeat the tomoe at the traditional grip positions beneath the tightly wound black tsuka-ito. The diamond-pattern braid runs over genuine white stingray leather samegawa, a contrast of raw texture and precise craft that rewards close inspection as much as it rewards the hand that grips it.
