A red katana built for those who refuse the ordinary. A gold-carved dragon tsuba seals the statement.

Red Katana: the Dragon Sovereign's Blade

Some swords are made to be used. This one is made to be seen, felt, and remembered. From the first glance, this red katana commands the room: a deep mirror-gloss lacquer saya the color of embers, a blood-red diamond-wrapped grip, and a gold dragon coiled in high relief on the tsuba, every element aligned into a single, unapologetic declaration. This is not a sword that blends into a collection. It dominates it. A unified vision of power, color, and Japanese sword-making tradition translated into one cohesive object.

A Blade Worthy of Its Dragon

Beneath the visual drama lies a blade forged using traditional swordsmith methods in high-carbon steel, ground to a precise shinogi-zukuri geometry with a high-set shinogi ridge that creates a broad, commanding ji panel. The hamon follows a notare-gunome pattern, an undulating wave interrupted by irregular peaks, with a granular boundary texture that catches the light with genuine visual depth. The surface receives a mixed polish treatment: the ji finished to a mirror quality, the shinogi-ji to a refined satin, faithfully echoing the layered polishing conventions of classical Japanese sword craft.

Traditional Craftsmanship, Uncompromising Quality

A katana is more than a sword, it’s a symbol of precision, discipline, and Japanese heritage. Our katanas are crafted with respect for traditional sword-making standards, offering you a reliable, durable, and beautifully finished blade. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced collector, you’ll find the perfect katana for your needs.

Fire in Every Detail

The red samurai sword achieves something rare at its tier: complete chromatic discipline. The saya is finished in a deep roiro-nuri lacquer, its undecorated surface left intentionally plain so that nothing interrupts the intensity of that red. The tsuka is wrapped in a tightly executed hineri-maki diamond pattern in vivid red ito, with no loose sections, no misaligned crossings, just clean, regular geometry. Beneath the wrap, black samegawa (ray skin) is visible through each diamond opening, its tubercle nodes creating a high-contrast rhythm against the red cord. Gold-toned menuki, precisely positioned at traditional placements under the wrapping, echo the tsuba’s metallic warmth and complete the grip with the balance of ornament and function.

The Dragon Commands the Guard

The tsuba is the visual anchor of this sword: a cast-relief ryū (dragon) design rendered in gold against a darkened oxidized ground, its sinuous body coiled with scales, claws, and a dramatically detailed head fully visible in high relief. The mokko-influenced oval form, with four softly lobed indentations at the cardinal points, frames the motif with classical restraint. A gilded brass habaki seats cleanly at the hamachi, its fit tight and precise, a detail that signals assembly quality from the first moment the blade is drawn. The chū-kissaki, balanced and proportioned with a clearly defined yokote line, brings the blade geometry to a composed, versatile close. A full-mass mu-hi flat, unbroken from shinogi to edge, ensures that nothing distracts from the authority this red katana projects the instant it leaves the saya.
