The clearly defined ridge and wide shinogi-ji give the blue finish maximum surface area to perform its quiet, immersive drama. A precisely engraved dragon climbs the blade flat near the habaki, its scales, body curves, and horns caught in fine relief against the deep blue ground. The chū-kissaki closes the blade with clean, well-formed geometry, the uniform blue finish running uninterrupted all the way to the tip with cold, saturated intensity.
