£450.00

T10 Steel High hardness and excellent cutting performance.
full tangBlade running through the entire handle for maximum strength.

The Hageshī Ha katana sword (激しい刃) earns its name, Fierce Blade, from the first glance: a T10 steel blade tempered in clay to reveal a natural choji hamon, paired with a lacquered saya blazing with panther motifs. A gold and silver-plated cruciform tsuba carved with chrysanthemums, genuine white ray skin samegawa, and hand-wrapped orange-beige ito, nothing here is decorative for its own sake.

Hageshī Ha Katana Sword: the Fierce Blade Awakens

Its name says everything. Hageshī Ha (激しい刃), the Fierce Blade, does not ask for your attention. It commands it. The moment your eyes reach the lacquered scabbard, tiger-gold and speckled with shadow, something shifts. This is not decoration for its own sake. Every element of this Hageshī Ha katana sword speaks a language the great warriors of Edo-period Japan would have recognized instantly: the language of power worn with intention, of ferocity dressed in beauty, of a blade that means something.

Steel and Soul: Unified

The Hageshī Ha sword is built around a full-tang T10 steel blade, forged using traditional swordsmith methods and finished by hand at the kissaki and mune. The hamon, obtained through differential clay tempering, traces a flowing choji line across the blade surface, a rhythmic succession of crests and gentle waves with visible ashi activity and a soft, naturally misty nioi-deki boundary. The chu-kissaki is cleanly defined, its yokote line sharp and precise, with a ko-maru boshi carrying the hamon cleanly around the tip. This is a blade that rewards close inspection at every scale.

Traditional Craftsmanship, Uncompromising Quality

A katana is more than a sword, it’s a symbol of precision, discipline, and Japanese heritage. Our katanas are crafted with respect for traditional sword-making standards, offering you a reliable, durable, and beautifully finished blade. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced collector, you’ll find the perfect katana for your needs.

Katana

The Tiger’s Koshirae

The saya of the Fierce Blade is lacquered in a warm amber and orange-brown ground scattered with deep black markings, a tora-kawa fu finish evoking the tiger’s coat, one of the most historically prestigious decorative traditions in Japanese sword furniture. Among Edo-period daimyo and high-ranking samurai, the tiger symbolized courage, ferocity, and noble power. The sageo in orange, green, red and white threads completes this striking ensemble. Against this background, the orange-beige diamond-wrapped tsuka-ito, tight and even in its hineri-maki pattern, echoes the warm tones of the saya with quiet precision, creating a thematic unity that holds from tip to handle.

Details That Define Mastery

Beneath the tsuka-ito, genuine white ray skin provides both the traditional nodular texture and the firm foundation that serious collectors expect to feel through the diamond gaps of the wrap. The silver-plated menuki catch the light at each side of the handle, while the matched fuchi and kashira, ornamented with silver plated and gold plated flowers, frame the grip with coherent elegance. The tsuba takes a mokko-gata form, its four-lobed silhouette edged with a warm brass fukurin and covered in dense chrysanthemum relief, dozens of blossoms in silver plate on a richly textured ground, a motif that in Japan carries the weight of longevity and imperial dignity. The engraved brass habaki locks everything in place. Blade, fittings, saya: three elements, one unmistakable character.
